Tata Curvv against the Tata Harrier!

It’s time for another Tata Curvv comparison as we’ll put it to test against it’s Compact-crossover SUV, Tata Harrier, to see which Tata Model is worth buying over the other!

Tata Curvv vs Tata Harrier – Exterior and Interior

The Tata Curvv from the outside has vertically-split headlamps at the front with a sharp styling with striking, minimalistic, yet future design which Tata calls it as “New Digital Design Language.” It has a sloping coupe-like roofline similar to the BMW X6, or Mercedes-AMG GLE 53 Coupe, which integrates into the tailgate of the Curvv. From the side, it has body cladding, square-shape wheel arches, and rides on 18-inch alloy wheels. Moving to the rear, the connected LED taillamps theme continues and skid plates at the front and rear for bumpers.

As for the Harrier, it has LED DRLs and round-blocks on the grille with chrome line around the grille and LED DRLs that gives a spreaded-V look. Below that is the LED headlamps and fog lamps below it with chrome line around the outer side of the fog lamps, and at the bottom center of the grille, it has radar for ADAS, which you’re not able to see in the above image, but it is present in the updated variant. Moving to the side, it has simple look with wheel arches and rides on the 18-inch alloy wheels. It has chrome lining at the top and bottom window frame, and door handles finished in chrome. As for the rear it has sleek LED tail lamps with small spoiler on the roof.

From the inside, the Curvv gets a three-layer dashboard with a 10.25-inch rectangle infotainment system, full digital instrument cluster which could be same as the one seen in Tata Harrier and Safari, two-spoke multi-function steering wheel, and it has touch-sensitive controls for the climate control. It has a Steptronic Automatic Gearbox lever with some inserts around the seats. The seatbelts were finished in red just the exterior.

As for the Harrier, it has the 10.25-inch infotainment system above the AC vents and at the sides it has horizontally positioned AC vent. The Harrier has the dual-tone dashboard option. It has multi-function three-spoke steering wheel with digital instrument cluster, and a huge panoramic sunroof. It has two USB ports at the front, two in second row, and two in the third row. It has drive modes selector in front of gear lever, electric parking brake with auto hold, and buttons for the ventilated seats at the side of the seat. The third row has a 40:60 split seat and second row has 60:40 split seats.

So, from the outside, the Tata Curvv, even though it’s a almost-production ready SUV, looks better than the Tata Harrier, and from the inside, Tata Curvv looks premium while the Harrier looks Premium and Spacious.

In Engine Options, Tata Curvv will be powered by the 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine producing 123.29 bhp and 225 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed Manual and 6-speed Automatic Gearbox. The Harrier is powered by the 2.0-litre Kryotec turbocharged diesel engine that produces 167.67 bhp and 350 Nm of torque paired to a 6-speed Manual Gearbox with 16.35 kmpl fuel efficiency and 6-speed Automatic Gearbox with 14.6 kmpl fuel efficiency.

he Tata Harrier starts at Rs.15 lakh for the base variant ‘XE’, and goes up to Rs. 24.07 lakh for the top variant, ‘XZA+ (O) Red Dark Edition Automatic’ and the Tata Harrier is expected to be priced at Rs. 10.50 lakh.

In the end, the decision to buy which model depends totally on you, however, it is recommended to wait for the launch of the Tata Curvv as it’s going to launch in 2024 with features similar and better than the Harrier. If you don’t want to wait till 2024 for Curvv, then you can go ahead and buy the Tata Harrier as it’s loaded with features as well as it has good mileage, good on safety, and good on space and comfort.
