Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the much-awaited 2025 Honda Rebel 500 in India, priced at Rs 5.12 lakh (ex-showroom, Gurugram). This marks Honda’s entry into the midsize cruiser segment, expanding its premium BigWing lineup. The Rebel 500 will be available exclusively through BigWing Topline dealerships in Gurugram, Mumbai, and Bengaluru, with deliveries starting in June 2025. Bookings are currently open at these outlets and through the official Honda BigWing India website.

Classic Cruiser Styling with Modern Appeal

The Honda Rebel 500 features a timeless bobber-inspired design, blending retro elements with modern finishes. The standout features include a steeply raked fuel tank, matte black finish, wide handlebars, and chunky Dunlop tyres. The cruiser gets a low-slung stance, minimal bodywork, and a 690 mm seat height, making it accessible for shorter riders. The motorcycle will be offered in a single variant finished in Matt Gunpowder Black Metallic.

Powerful 471cc Twin-Cylinder Engine

The Rebel 500 is powered by a 471cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine with 8 valves, producing 45.6 hp (34 kW) at 8,500 rpm and 43.3 Nm of torque at 6,000 rpm. It is paired with a 6-speed gearbox and is tuned for a strong mid-range performance, ideal for city cruising and highway rides. The exhaust has been tuned to deliver a bassy note that complements the bike’s classic look.

Built for Comfort and Control

Underpinning the cruiser is a steel tubular frame paired with telescopic front forks and dual Showa rear shock absorbers. For braking, it uses a 296 mm front disc and a 240 mm rear disc, equipped with dual-channel ABS for safety. The Rebel rides on 16-inch wheels with 130/90-16 front and 150/80-16 rear Dunlop tyres. Riders also get a full LED lighting setup, including a round headlamp, and a digital LCD instrument cluster.
