Four new three-row cars, including two SUVs and two MPVs from Renault, MG, Kia, and Skoda, are set to launch in India this year. These upcoming models aim to offer more space, features, and performance for family car buyers.
The new Skoda Kodiaq evolves its design with a familiar grille, sleeker LED headlights, and a redesigned bumper featuring a honeycomb mesh and aggressive air intakes. It now sports 20-inch alloy wheels, a tapered roofline, rounded wheel arches with black cladding, and sleeker C-shaped connected tail lights. Inside, the Kodiaq boasts a revamped cabin with a layered dashboard made of sustainable materials. It features a larger 13-inch touchscreen, physical controls, and a relocated gear stalk behind the steering wheel for added console space, maintaining a modern yet premium feel. The Kodiaq is powered by the 2.0 L Turbocharged Petrol engine delivering 198 BHP and 320 NM Torque paired to 7 Speed DCT Transmission. Skoda aims to locally assemble the knocked-down parts with launch expected to take place in April 2025.
Kia has been testing the an MPV in India, revealing some design details despite the camouflage. This new MPV features alloy wheels similar to the upcoming Kia EV5, with a 5-spoke design for both the EV and ICE versions. The front has L-shaped LED DRLs, a thin LED light bar, and LED projectors, while the rear includes C-shaped connected LED tail-lamps and revised bumpers.
Interior features are expected to resemble the Seltos, including a 10.25-inch infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital cluster, updated controls, and an electric parking brake. Both the EV and ICE versions are likely to offer 6 and 7-seater options, a panoramic sunroof, dual-zone climate control, and new upholstery.
Kia India has revealed that the Carens will feature a fresh name with a new suffix to distinguish it from the current model. Kia will launch this new model in ICE in April 2025, while the EV version sometime in June 2025.
