New Mahindra SUV Spied Closely again with it carrying major upgrades over its current version on sale!

The upcoming Mahindra Bolero Neo facelift has been spied testing, revealing major design and feature upgrades. Heavily camouflaged test mules offer a clear look at the new styling elements inspired by the Thar Roxx, along with several modern additions inside and out. This updated version is shaping up to be a more premium, tech-loaded SUV.

What do they reveal?

Spy shots reveal a bold new direction for the Bolero Neo. It features a redesigned 6-slat front grille with a large covered Mahindra logo. Round LED headlamps, similar to the Thar Roxx, come integrated with dual-function LED DRLs. LED indicators are placed lower on the front bumper. There’s a flat bonnet, redesigned bumpers, and likely 17-inch alloy wheels. Side profile reveals flush door handles, new ORVMs, and a more modern stance. At the rear, vertically stacked LED tail-lamps and a flat tailgate with a possible spare wheel mount are seen. A rectangular sensor housing in the lower air dam hints at the inclusion of ADAS.

Powertrain & Platform

The new Bolero Neo is expected to retain the 1.5L diesel engine, possibly tuned for higher performance. A petrol engine option could follow at a later stage. More importantly, Mahindra is introducing a new multi-energy vehicle architecture debuting on August 15, 2025. This platform will support petrol, diesel, hybrid, and electric powertrains — paving the way for long-term versatility in the Bolero Neo lineup.

Features Expected

The cabin is likely to be loaded with modern features such as:

  • Dual 10.25-inch displays (infotainment + digital instrument cluster)
  • Premium sound system
  • Wireless charging pad
  • 6 airbags as standard
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • 360-degree surround view camera
  • ADAS
  • Rain-Sensing Wipers

Most existing features from the current model will be carried forward.

Final Thoughts

The upcoming Mahindra Bolero Neo facelift brings major design upgrades and modern tech. With Thar-inspired aesthetics, more safety features, and a future-ready platform, it targets a wider, urban-focused audience. This refreshed Bolero Neo could be Mahindra’s next big volume driver in the compact SUV space.
