New Mahindra SUV has launched with ADAS! This spells big trouble for its rival Tata Safari!

Mahindra Auto has officially updated the Scorpio N SUV with new tech features and a fresh variant in the lineup. Celebrating three successful years of the Scorpio N in India with over 2.5 lakh units sold, Mahindra has now introduced Level 2 ADAS features to enhance safety and driving convenience. Additionally, a new Z8T trim has been launched, offering a wider range of options for potential buyers.

ADAS Now Available on Scorpio N

The top-spec Z8L trim of the Scorpio N now comes equipped with a Level 2 ADAS suite, making it the brand’s first ICE SUV to offer such advanced driver assistance systems. Prices for the Scorpio N Z8L with ADAS start from ₹21.35 lakh (ex-showroom) for the petrol manual variant and go up to ₹25.42 lakh (ex-showroom) for the diesel 4WD automatic version.

This updated Z8L trim is available in both 6-seat and 7-seat configurations. The addition of ADAS has made the Z8L variants around ₹46,000 costlier than the previous non-ADAS versions. Key ADAS features include Forward Collision Warning, Automatic Emergency Braking, Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition, High Beam Assist, Speed Limit Assist, Smart Pilot Assist, and Front Vehicle Start Alert.

New Z8T Trim Bridges Gap Between Z8 and Z8L

Alongside the ADAS-equipped Z8L, Mahindra has also introduced a new Z8T variant for the 2025 Scorpio N lineup. This new trim is positioned between the Z8 and Z8L, offering most of the premium features from the Z8L while skipping the ADAS technology. Prices for the Z8T range from ₹20.29 lakh to ₹24.36 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the engine and drivetrain options.

The Scorpio N Z8T gets the same feature list as the Z8L variant, minus the ADAS suite. This includes equipment like a 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake, auto-dimming IRVM, front parking sensors, ventilated front seats, 18-inch alloy wheels, a 12-speaker Sony sound system, and a 6-way powered driver seat. However, it’s worth noting that the Z8T is only offered in a 7-seater configuration and not available as a 6-seater.

Final Thoughts

With the addition of ADAS and a new Z8T trim, the 2025 Mahindra Scorpio N strengthens its position in the D-segment SUV space. It continues to appeal to buyers looking for a rugged SUV with modern tech and safety features while offering more flexibility in variant selection. This update underlines Mahindra’s focus on safety, technology, and expanding choices for Indian SUV customers.
