Maruti Suzuki has just launched India’s most affordable 6 Seater Car with Captain Seats at Rs. 5.98 Lakhs!

Maruti Suzuki has updated the Eeco MPV for 2025, bringing in major safety enhancements, revised seating configurations, and improved comfort features. These updates come with a slight price hike across the range, but the Eeco continues to remain India’s most affordable multi-purpose van.

2025 Maruti Eeco Safety Upgrades

The highlight of the 2025 Maruti Eeco is the addition of six airbags as standard across all variants. Earlier, only two front airbags were offered. Now, the Eeco includes two front-side and two curtain airbags, offering significantly better occupant protection.

In addition to the airbags, the Eeco now features – Three-point seatbelts for all passengers and Seatbelt pre-tensioners and force limiters for front seats.

With these updates, the Eeco joins other Maruti models like the Alto K10, Brezza, and Celerio, which have also been recently upgraded with six airbags.

New 6-Seater Variant Replaces 7-Seater

Maruti Suzuki has discontinued the 7-seat version of the Eeco. In its place, a new 6-seater variant with second-row captain seats has been introduced. This change improves middle-row comfort but keeps the rear bench unchanged, which still seems spacious enough for three adults.

The 5-seat variants continue unchanged, and are now available with added features like fabric seat upholstery (replacing the earlier PVC material) and outboard reclining front seats.

However, air conditioning remains limited to the two-row (5-seat) versions, even after the new comfort upgrades in the 6-seater model.

Design and Interior Updates

There are no exterior design changes in this model refresh. The Eeco still comes with rectangular halogen headlamps, Vertical tail-lamps, 13-inch steel wheelsOn the inside, the dashboard layout and steering remain unchanged. However, new roof liners and pillar trims have been added to accommodate the additional airbags.

The boot in the 5-seat version now gets a luggage retention feature to prevent items from moving during sudden stops or collisions.

2025 Eeco Powertrain and Mileage

The Eeco continues to be powered by the same 1.2 L K12N petrol engine that produces 80hp and 105.5Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Key updates:

  • Now E20 fuel compliant (20% ethanol blend)
  • CNG variant available only for 5-seat trims
    • CNG version outputs 69 bhp and 95 Nm
    • Fuel efficiency: 26.78 km/kg (CNG) and 19.71 kmpl (petrol)
