The interior layout also includes a floating-style center console with ample storage space.

Visually, the Carens Clavis EV retains the familiar silhouette of its ICE sibling but introduces key EV-specific styling elements such as a connected LED DRL at the front, aero-optimized alloy wheels, a front-mounted charging port, Star Map LED DRLs with integrated turn signals, connected LED tail lamps, and skid plates for added ruggedness. The suspension setup may also be tweaked to support the additional weight of the electric motor and battery pack.
Comprehensive Safety Features
Kia will offer a strong safety package in the Carens Clavis EV with Level 2 ADAS technology comprising nearly 20 autonomous features. Standard safety features include six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), all-wheel disc brakes, vehicle stability management (VSM), hill-start assist, downhill brake control, traction control, ABS with EBD, and more.
Expected Pricing
The Carens Clavis EV is expected to be priced around Rs 15-16 lakh (ex-showroom), undercutting its direct rival BYD eMax 7 by a significant margin. This competitive pricing, combined with its feature-rich package and long range, gives Kia a strong position in the growing electric MPV segment. Deliveries are expected to begin shortly after the launch.
With the Carens Clavis EV, Kia aims to make a major push into the Indian EV market by offering an affordable, tech-laden, and spacious family electric vehicle. Full specifications and pricing will be revealed on July 15.
