Mahindra & Mahindra has witnessed 18% Year-on-Year (YoY) growth across its domestic and commercial vehicle sales, and exports!

Mahindra’s sales performance for June 2025 reveals strong momentum in the domestic passenger vehicle segment, led entirely by its utility vehicle range. The company also witnessed steady growth in exports and the three-wheeler segment, although certain categories in the commercial vehicle space saw a decline. Year-to-date performance indicates overall positive trends across multiple verticals, reflecting robust market demand.

Passenger Vehicle Sales

Mahindra sold 47,306 passenger vehicles in June 2025, up from 40,022 units in June 2024, marking an 18% year-on-year (YoY) growth. This figure was entirely driven by its utility vehicle lineup, as there were no contributions from cars or vans.

During the April–June 2025 period, Mahindra’s cumulative UV sales reached 1,52,067 units, showing a 22% increase over the 1,24,248 units sold in the same timeframe last year. This includes strong demand for models like the XUV 3XO, Bolero, Scorpio-N, Thar, and XUV700, alongside electric offerings such as the BE.6 and XEV 9e.

Commercial Vehicle Sales

In the commercial vehicle (CV) segment, Mahindra’s sub-2-tonne LCV category saw a decline. Sales dropped by 20% YoY to 2,576 units in June 2025, compared to 3,227 units in June 2024. YTD sales also fell by 20%, from 9,755 units to 7,808 units.

The 2T–3.5T LCV segment showed resilience, with June sales increasing by 4% to 16,772 units, up from 16,152 units last year. The YTD total stood at 53,631 units—an improvement of 9% over the 49,377 units recorded in the same period last year.

For vehicles above 3.5 tonnes, including MHCVs, the growth was flat. Mahindra sold 1,227 units in June 2025, a marginal 1% increase from 1,219 units a year ago. YTD sales rose 4% to 3,517 units, from 3,394 units in FY25.

The three-wheeler category, including electric models, posted the strongest gains. Sales surged 37% YoY to 8,454 units in June 2025, compared to 6,180 units in June 2024. The YTD tally reached 20,559 units, growing 16% from last year’s 17,651 units.

Exports

Mahindra’s export performance in June 2025 saw a slight 1% YoY growth, with 2,634 units shipped compared to 2,597 units in June 2024. On a YTD basis, the company exported 9,667 units, a 36% increase over the 7,125 units exported during the same three-month period last year.

Final Thoughts

Mahindra’s consistent UV sales and increasing traction in the three-wheeler and mid-size LCV segments indicate solid market positioning. With several products under testing—such as the XUV700 facelift, Thar three-door update, and upcoming EVs—the company is expected to maintain strong momentum in the coming quarters.
