Jatin Sagar, who works in an MNC, owns the Tata Curvv Pure+ Petrol variant. He took delivery of the car on 29th October from the Nehru Place dealership. Although the initial waiting period was said to be two months, the owner managed to get the car within two days through his own efforts. He says the delivery experience was smooth, with the entire handover process completed in just 25–30 minutes. Before taking delivery, he ensured a proper PDI was done, where a minor dent and pasting issue were fixed immediately by the dealership.

Driving Performance and Ride Quality

The owner finds the overall driving experience of the Curvv quite impressive. He mentions that the clutch is light, making city driving convenient, and the pickup is good for daily use. Despite being a 3-cylinder engine, the owner says cabin noise is surprisingly well-controlled and not bothersome. The owner highlights that the turbo kicks in strongly after 2000 RPM, and especially from second gear onwards, the engine starts performing with better punch. He drove the car up to 143 kmph and noted that while the Curvv maintains decent highway stability, there was some noticeable body roll at that speed. He says the steering response was good at regular speeds, but at 140 kmph, it didn’t inspire complete confidence, prompting him to slow down.

Comfort, Practicality, and Design

The owner praised the Curvv’s ride comfort, especially during a 215 km long stretch where he says there was no fatigue at all. He adds that despite his height of 5.8 feet, headroom was sufficient and rear seat comfort was more than adequate. According to him, the Curvv strikes a good balance between space and boot space, making it practical for both families and individuals. He skipped the sunroof variant due to reduced headroom but was satisfied with cabin space and seating comfort. The owner also mentions that front and rear visibility is decent, even though the rearview mirror is slightly slanted.

Features and Technology

The owner appreciated the JBL speaker system (by Harman) for its loud and clear sound quality. He says the touchscreen infotainment system works smoothly and supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto without any issues. He also liked the smooth and classy feel of the steering and found the cruise control to be a very useful feature during longer highway drives. The owner finds the flush-type door handles quite futuristic and says they add to the vehicle’s premium appeal, noting they recess completely unlike the ones on the XUV700 or BE.06.

Mileage and Fuel Efficiency

On the mileage front, the owner reports getting around 16 kmpl on highways and approximately 12 kmpl in city conditions. He feels the Curvv delivers better mileage than his previous Nexon 3X variant. The owner says while the engine may not feel extremely powerful, it is more than sufficient for everyday city commutes and occasional highway runs.

Ownership Experience and Service Feedback

The owner admits that Tata’s service reputation online isn’t the best, but believes experiences vary individually. He had his first service done at Tata’s Okhla center and says it was mostly positive. During the service, the Curvv’s rear badge got damaged, but the team replaced it quickly. The owner was satisfied with the overall service response and stresses that personal experiences matter more than general reviews. He did mention that accessories like boot mats and fog lamps were hard to find, and even aftermarket options were either unavailable or expensive.

Concerns and Minor Issues

The owner points out that water splashes during rains tend to accumulate mud on the door frame. He also feels the headlight throw is weak and regrets the absence of fog lamps. He mentions that Curvv’s exterior part availability is currently limited and that it took about 10 days to get the rear badge replaced. He also finds the rearview visibility area a bit narrow. Since accessories are not easily available in the market, he hasn’t installed many yet, but he hopes this will improve over time.
