New Kia Carens EV has been spotted at the charging station in South Korea ahead of its debut in coming months!

The Kia Carens EV has been spotted at a charging station in South Korea, revealing new details. The electric MPV features a front-mounted charging port for convenience. Additionally, the design of the alloy wheels is now clearly visible and appears production-ready.

Kia Carens EV – Battery Specs

Kia Carens EV was spotted at the Charging Station when it launches in coming months will come equipped with two battery packs – 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh – same as the Creta Electric. It’ll give range between 390 KMs to 473 KMs. Here’s the specifications –

  • 42 kWh Battery Pack – 133 BHP, 200 NM – 390 KM Range – 0-100% in 4 Hrs on 11 kW. AC Charger; 10-80% in 58 Minutes on 50 kW DC Charger
  • 51.4 kWh Battery Pack – 169 BHP, 200 NM – 473 KM Range – 0-100% in 4 Hrs 50 Mins on 11 kW. AC Charger; 10-80% in 58 Minutes on 50 kW DC Charger

Kia Carens EV – Design

Kia Carens EV will have resemblance to the facelift of its ICE counterpart like EV5-inspired elements, revised front and rear bumpers, closed front fascia with charging hub, new connected L-shape DRLs with Projector Headlamps, and fresh upholstery inside. While the spy shots don’t showcase the interiors, expected to mimic the newly Syros like the 30-inch panoramic display – dual 12.3-inch infotainment and digital cluster, 5-inch LCD Display for Climate control, and a refreshed center console and dashboard. Seating options will likely include 6 and 7-seater layouts, complemented by premium features like a panoramic sunroof on higher trims, and new upholstery.

Kia Carens EV – Features

The Carens EV is all set to be equipped with new features such as 360 Surround View Camera, Level 2 ADAS with 19 Functions, One Touch Up/Down For All Windows, Electronic Parking Brake with Auto Hold, etc. Additionally, the EV version will get more features than ICE version like front powered seats, powered tailgate, 18-inches alloy wheels, etc.

Kia Carens EV – Launch

Kia will first debut the ICE version of Carens next month with its Electric counterpart launch taking place in June. Price announcement of both the models is expected to revealed at the same time. Kia India has revealed that the Carens will feature a fresh name with a new suffix to distinguish it from the current model.
