Two major carmakers are gearing up to introduce their latest premium MPVs in the Indian market this July. Both models promise to deliver luxury, advanced features, and spacious interiors tailored for family comfort and long-distance travel. These upcoming MPVs are expected to shake up the premium segment with their bold designs, tech-rich cabins, and strong road presence. With launch timelines closing in, buyers looking for premium people movers will soon have two fresh and feature-loaded options to choose from. Here’s everything about these two MPVs –

MG 9 MPV

MG M9 electric MPV will launch in India by July 2025, with expected price around Rs 65 lakh (ex-showroom). First showcased as the Mifa 9 at the 2023 Auto Expo, it features a spacious three-row, 7-seater layout with luxurious second-row reclining ottoman seats offering eight massage functions. The M9 comes equipped with several premium features like three-zone climate control, seat ventilation, dual sunroofs, powered sliding rear doors, a second-row touchscreen panel, and rear entertainment screens. It sports a boxy MPV design with a full-width LED light bar, vertical tail-lights connected via an LED strip, chrome accents, and a neatly integrated front bumper. MG will initially retail the M9 through its premium MG Select outlets in 12 cities across India, targeting buyers of the Kia Carnival and Toyota Vellfire. Unlike its competitors, the M9 features a pure-electric powertrain with the following battery specs:

  • 90 kWh Battery Pack – Front-Wheel-Drive (FWD) – 242 BHP, 350 NM – 430 KM Range

  • Battery Specs: 42-50 kWh battery pack, 350-450 km Range [Expected]
